ABOUT:
The XYZPrinting da Vinci Junior 1.0 was an entry-level 3D printer designed with beginners in mind. Its target audience included students and teachers using 3D printing technology for education.
The build volume was 150 x 150 x 150 mm, allowing for the printing of small models such as toys, decorative items, prototypes, or educational tools. The layer resolution ranged from 100 to 400 microns, providing sufficient quality for hobbyist and educational applications. The 3D printer supported 1.75 mm PLA filament.
The da Vinci Junior 1.0 featured an automatic Z-axis calibration system and was fully enclosed. However, its build plate was not heated, limiting the ability to use other materials such as ABS. It was equipped with a 2.6-inch LCD screen and navigation buttons, enabling control of the device without connecting it to a computer.
The da Vinci Junior 1.0 3D printer was released in 2015. There is no precise information about its official discontinuation, but it can be assumed that it was phased out around 2018 or 2019. Its successors included the da Vinci Junior 1.0 Pro and MIX models (the latter allowing for two-color mixing in the printhead).
